Keyboard Shortcuts

For quick access to often-used functions, the DATAFLOW Designer provides the following keyboard shortcuts:

Shortcut	Action	Remarks
Ctrl + A	Selects all items in current editor window.
Ctrl + Shift + A	Clears selection.
Ctrl + B	Toggle Bold text format.	Text must be selected
Ctrl + Shift + B	Build Project.	Generated Code.
Ctrl + Alt + B	Moves selected element back.
Shift + Alt + B	Moves selected element to background.
Alt + B	Change line routing to Bezier.	Connection line must be selected.
Ctrl + C	Copies the selected items to the clipboard.
Ctrl + Shift + C	Compile Project	Compiles generated code. Only for internal toolchain.
Alt + C	Change line routing to Custom.	Connection line must be selected.
Alt + D	Change line routing to Direct.	Connection line must be selected.
Ctrl + E	Opens the diagrams from selected content.
Ctrl + Shift + E	Edits the element in the editor inline.
Ctrl + Alt + E	Show/Hide the System Explorer window.
Alt + E	Toggles Align elements to other elements.
Ctrl + F	Find text in current editor window.
Ctrl + Shift + F	Find text in project.
Ctrl + Alt + F	Moves the selected element to front.
Shift + Alt + F	Moves the selected element to foreground.
Ctrl + G	Toggles the grid line visibility.
Alt + G	Toggles Align elements to grid.
Ctrl + H	Replace text in current editor window.
Ctrl + Shift + H	Replace text in project.
Alt + H	Distributes selected elements horizontally.
Ctrl + I	Toggle Italic text format.	Text must be selected
Ctrl + J	Displays the Application Options dialog.
Ctrl + K	Displays the Project Settings dialog.
Ctrl + L	Toggles label visibility.	An element with a label must be selected.
Alt + L	Resets the label position.	An element with a label must be selected.
Ctrl + Alt + M	Displays Message List window.
Ctrl +N	Opens create new Project dialog.
Ctrl + O	Opens a browse dialog to open an existing Designer project.
Ctrl + Alt + O	Displays the Output window.
Alt + O	Change line routing to Orthogonal.	Connection line must be selected.
Ctrl + Alt + P	Displays the Property Inspector window.
Ctrl + Q	Closes the open project
Ctrl + R	Navigates to the parent diagram
Ctrl + S	Saves the project at the current location.
Ctrl + Shift + S	Saves the project to a new location.
Alt + S	Change line routing to Spline.	Connection line must be selected.
Ctrl + T	Toggle Striked-trough text format.	Text must be selected
Ctrl + Alt + T	Displays Toolbox window.
Ctrl + U	Toggle Underlined text format.	Text must be selected
Ctrl + V	Pastes the copied items to the active diagram
Alt + V	Distributes selected elements vertically.
Ctrl + Alt + W	Closes the current pane.
Ctrl + W	Closes the active editor window.
Ctrl + X	Cuts the selected items to the clipboard.
Ctrl + Shift + X	Export project to PDF.
Ctrl + Y	Redoes the action.
Ctrl + Z	Undoes the last action.
Ctrl + Alt + Z	Zooms to 100%.
Ctrl + PLUS	Zooms in on the diagram.
Ctrl - MINUS	Zooms out in the diagram.
Delete	Deletes the selected items.
Ctrl + Space	Auto fits the active page.
Ctrl + Arrow Left	Aligns selected items to left.
Ctrl + Arrow Right	Aligns selected items to right.
Ctrl + Arrow Top	Aligns selected items to top.
Ctrl + Arrow Bottom	Aligns selected items to bottom.
F1	Opens Help Dialog.
F2	Edit element at current location (e.g. rename).
F3	Show next find result in current editor.
Shift + F3	Show previous find result in current editor.
F4	Show next find result in project.
Shift + F4	Select previous find result in project.
Alt + F4	Exit Application.
F5	Run Project.	Executes compiled code. Only for internal toolchain.
Shift + F5	Terminate Running project.
Arrow Up	Moves diagram element 10px up. Moves list element one position up.
Arrow Down	Moves diagram element 10px down. Moves list element one position down.
Arrow Left	Moves diagram element 10px to the left.
Arrow Right	Moves diagram element 10px to the right.
Shift + Arrow Up	Moves element to the top of list.
Shift + Arrow Down	Moves element to the bottom of list.
Alt + Arrow Up	Moves diagram element 2px up.
Alt + Arrow Down	Moves diagram element 2px down.
Alt + Arrow Left	Moves diagram element 2px to the left.
Alt + Arrow Right	Moves diagram element 2px to the right.
